Who we are
What began as Hope Zone is now a community of hundreds.
Twenty-six years on, Liberty Compassion is the justice expression of Liberty Church, working across four pillars to bring hope, dignity and practical support to the most vulnerable in our communities.
Our work
Four pillars
Each pillar runs as real programmes, week after week, across Johannesburg.
-
01
Education
Our Early Childhood Development (ECD) project partners with pre-schools on nutrition, facilities and teacher training.
-
02
Under resourced & vulnerable
Red Grocery Bags put food into the hands of families who need it. Care Days provide a nutritious meal, essential groceries, clothing and a short encouraging message.
-
03
Widows & orphans
Our Mercy Fund is a once-off assistance programme for emergency financial relief and essential services.
-
04
Freedom from exploitation
We partner with organisations to raise awareness of gender based violence, anti human trafficking and exploitation.
