Our impact
What the year actually produced, counted family by family.
Event highlights
Mandela Day 2025
Our North and West Campus Care Days impacted 62 families, supported by an incredible 115 volunteers who gave their time to bring hope, dignity and care to families in need.
Through our Drive By & Drop Off, a further 20 volunteers helped collect much needed food donations for our Red Grocery Bags. West Campus loved partnering with Picklers Park, Roodepoort to extend our reach.
Volunteers also invested their skills and energy into upgrading Thusanang Pre School — painting classrooms, repairing windows, installing a new gate, building concrete steps and improving the hall facilities.
Our Liberty Legends continued to make a remarkable contribution, with 85 Legends preparing 122 Toiletry Care Packs for Care Days, creating 102 Jars of Love, crocheting squares and visiting an old age home.

Valley Church mission team
In June 2025, Liberty Compassion hosted a mission team from Valley Church, UK. Over ten days, five team members invested their time and skills into improving the facilities at Thusanang Pre School.
- A new perimeter fence around the school
- A wendy house to serve as an office and sick bay
- A privacy wall for the toilet facilities
- Three classroom exteriors transformed with fresh paint featuring educational patterns, shapes, numbers and letters
Beyond the physical improvements, the team’s partnership, generosity and encouragement left a lasting impact on both the school and the Liberty Compassion team.
